How Zurn WaterSense products saved 45 billion gallons since 1999

Water-saving products play a key role in helping businesses conserve water and reduce costs. That’s why the Zurn business is proud to have more than 500 faucet, toilet and urinal models that carry the EPA’s WaterSense certification. Being WaterSense certified means products use at least 20% less water than regular models.

Engineered water solutions

Did you know that even though 70% of the Earth’s surface is covered by water, experts estimate that less than 1% is available for human use?

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense program aims to help businesses and consumers use water resources more efficiently to reduce water waste. For business, the benefits are multi-faceted, from conserving water to reducing costs associated with the water supply, treatment and wastewater management.

Savings add up

In the 13 years since we started participating in the program, our WaterSense labeled toilets and urinals have helped our customers cumulatively save an estimated 45 billion gallons of water. That’s enough for 70,000 Olympic-sized pools or 420,000 households' annual water needs.

“WaterSense considers its partners ambassadors. And it’s true, the challenge is on us. At Zurn, we’re driven to provide the safest, most efficient water solutions to protect human health and the environment we all share,” says Craig Wehr, President, Zurn.
